International Walk to School Day was held on October 4th, and once again, the students, parents, teachers, and communities in our region responded by participating in impressive numbers. According to the Walk & Bike to School Day website, there were over 460 Walk to School Day events in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia!

For most of us, a one-day even is not enough! To build on the momentum created by Walk to School Day, check out these tips on how you can incorporate your event into larger efforts that lead to wider Safe Routes to School program implementation in your community.
